Sick Exams and Hospitalization
A sick or injured pet gets seen the same day, by appointment or drop-off, in the same building that can hospitalize and monitor them afterward.

Getting seen the day it happens
A pet does not wait for illness or injury on a schedule, so Rose-Rich sees sick and injured pets by appointment or by drop-off, whichever gets them in front of a doctor sooner. A drop-off still needs a form filled out completely before a doctor ever lays hands on the pet, the same information an appointment would have gathered out loud in the exam room. It is the fastest route to a full workup, not a shortcut around one.
The seven exam rooms open off the courtyard, each networked to a touch-screen monitor carrying that pet's digital X-rays and ultrasound images, so whatever the doctor finds is visible on the same screen the diagnosis is discussed over.

When a case cannot wait for its slot
Some cases cannot sit in the queue behind a full afternoon of scheduled wellness visits, and Rose-Rich pulls those ahead rather than making a genuinely urgent pet wait its turn. That is a deliberate reordering of the day, not a quiet inconvenience, and it is priced as one.
Dr. Gaby Torres and Dr. Emily Tran both list critical care among their special interests, which is the same instinct behind pulling an urgent case forward: the pet in front of you that day gets treated as the priority it is.
Chapter 03
What happens once a pet is admitted
A pet that needs to stay does not leave the building the doctor examined it in. The treatment room's three tables sit steps from a separate ICU area, an oxygen therapy unit, IV pumps, and an isolation ward kept apart for contagious animals, so a hospitalized pet is monitored in the same clinic, not transferred out to a different facility for the part of its care that matters most.
The Animal Care Team is on site through the day for the cleaning, feeding and hands-on attention a hospitalized pet needs between doctor checks, in the Thompson Road building Rosenberg and Richmond pet owners already know.

Appointment or drop-off
How to be seen today
Call (281) 342-3727 for an exam appointment, or bring your pet in as a drop-off. Drop-offs are accepted after 7:00 AM, and calling ahead is recommended. Most pets are ready for pickup by 4:00 PM the same day. Either way, a drop-off requires the form to be filled out completely before the doctor sees your pet.
One exception: a newly shelter-adopted pet, or any pet without a known vaccination history, cannot be left as a drop-off. Those pets need a booked exam appointment instead, so a doctor can go through their history in person before anything else happens.
A genuinely urgent case seen ahead of the scheduled day carries a $65.00 charge for working it into a full appointment book. We tell you this up front, not on the invoice.
After hours and emergencies
If it cannot wait for the clinic to open

What hospitalization looks like at Rose-Rich
A pet admitted for hospitalization stays inside the same building, in a dedicated ICU area equipped with an oxygen therapy unit and IV pumps for post-surgical and critically ill patients. Contagious animals are kept apart in a separate isolation ward, away from the pets boarding or recovering nearby.
