Care
Grooming
Full-service dog and cat grooming, Monday through Friday, in the clinic's own salon on Thompson Road.
Chapter 01
A quote given in person, not a price table
The salon grooms both dogs and cats, Monday through Friday, and every quote is given in person rather than off a fixed list. The price depends on the coat's condition and the cut you want, and those two things vary enough from one dog to the next that a printed table would either overcharge a well-kept coat or undercharge a badly matted one.
Bringing a pet in, or calling ahead with a description, gets you an honest number before anything starts, based on the animal in front of the groomer rather than a guess.

Start maintenance-heavy breeds young
Breeds with coats that need regular cutting and brushing do better starting grooming as young puppies. A puppy that gets used to the table, the clippers and the routine early on tends to handle every visit after that more calmly, where a dog that meets a groomer for the first time as an adult has more to get used to all at once.
It is a simple piece of timing rather than a hard rule, but it is worth planning for if you already know your breed needs regular coat work.
Chapter 03
Same proof of vaccination as boarding and surgery
Grooming shares the same vaccination requirement as boarding and surgery, because a groomed pet is in close contact with staff and, often, other animals in the building on the same day. Dogs need proof of DHLP-P, rabies, Bordetella and CIV bivalent. Cats need FVRCP and rabies.
Having that proof on file before drop-off keeps the appointment moving and protects every other pet in the building that day, not just your own.

Your groomer
Lauren Medina
Lauren was raised on her parents' farm in the Richmond and Rosenberg area and attended Foster High School, where her father was her agriculture teacher. She showed livestock as a teenager, and worked at TSC before Dr. Sharon Moore recruited her into grooming. She trained through the Golden Paws program before joining the salon on Thompson Road.
It is the kind of background that shows up in how she handles an animal on the table, farm-raised and unhurried, rather than a groomer who only ever learned it in a classroom.
