Chapter 01
Where a dog or cat actually stays
Dogs board in a kennel cage sized to their weight, in a canine run, or in one of eight individually themed luxury suites, hand-painted by Richmond artist Robin Schwenke, the same artist who painted the sky mural on the two-story courtyard ceiling. Cats board in a basic cottage suite or, for a two-story luxury condo, in the premium boarding wing.
The eight themed suites, from Under the Sea to the Royal Suite, each come with their own webcam, a window onto the on-site dog park and cable television, and get a full page of their own at Luxury Suites, because a room with a hand-painted mermaid mural and a custom clamshell bed deserves more than a line item.

The admission check, vaccination proof and the flea and tick policy
Every pet gets a free brief physical exam from a veterinary assistant on admission. If that exam finds something that needs a doctor's attention, a full doctor exam is available at an additional cost, so an illness or injury does not go unnoticed just because a pet came in for boarding.
Current vaccination proof is required at the door: dogs need DHLP-P, rabies, Bordetella and CIV bivalent; cats need FVRCP and rabies. If fleas or ticks are noted on arrival, a Capstar quick-kill flea treatment ($5.00 to $8.00) or a topical tick treatment ($22.00 to $26.00) is applied, because one untreated pet in the boarding wing puts every other pet staying that week at risk.
Chapter 03
Drop-off, pick-up, the go-home bath, and the food we feed
Drop-off runs 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday. Pick-up runs 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, or 3:00 to 5:00 PM if your pet is getting an exit bath, and 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday. There is no Sunday pick-up.
Boarders are fed Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach; owners are welcome to bring their own food as long as it is labeled with their pet's name. Bring your own collar, leash or carrier too, and label any toys or blankets you send along, since we can't guarantee an unlabeled one makes it home. All fees are due at pick-up, and a deposit may be required for a longer stay.

The full-service grooming salon can coordinate a go-home groom on departure day, Monday through Friday, space permitting. Ask at drop-off so it can be scheduled alongside the bath.
